Strong military power
North Korea has a population of about 25 million, ranking 51st in the world, which is not an unusually high figure. But according to the CIA data, there are nearly 1.19 million active duty soldiers. If the estimates are correct, military personnel make up close to 5% of the total population, including infants and the elderly. Even China, which is aggressively promotes military power, has a ratio of 0.18%. It is clear that North Korea is heavily inclined toward military force.
